Hi! I'm Lindsay Murad, founder and host of the Tears of Gold podcast. Tears of Gold is a podcast dedicated to spreading stories of hope in the world. Each episode features a guest that I have a conversation with regarding a pain point in their life. But my favorite part is how they share God's presence, hope, and compassion in this midst of the grief. My prayer is that you leave each episode feeling restored in your faith and encouraged to keep up the good work God has called you too. Lamentations 3:22 says "Because of the Lord's great love, we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail." May you be reminded of his love for you in the stories you hear.
You’ve kept track of my every toss and turn
through the sleepless nights,
Each tear entered in your ledger,
each ache written in your book.
The idea for Tears of Gold comes from a personal place of pain in my own life. In October 2011, I was pregnant with my first child and my mom had been battling cancer (multiple myeloma) for a year and a half. On October 6, 2011, God called my mom home and a week and half later, I had a miscarriage. I was heartbroken to have two losses so very close together. One night soon after, I was having trouble sleeping and I went to our living room to pray but couldn't find the words. I asked God to give me something and he gave me the image of a large gold water droplet. When I asked him what it was, He told me it was all of my tears. Then I asked him why it was gold and he told me because "I am going to turn it into treasure for others." I didn't know then what that was going to look like but I was comforted and reassured that my pain would not be wasted. My hope is that you are blessed from the treasures shared through the Tears of Gold in this podcast.

Biblical references in the intro and outro are from Lamentations 3.
22 Because of the Lord’s great love we are not consumed,
for his compassions never fail.
23 They are new every morning;
great is your faithfulness.
24 I say to myself, “The Lord is my portion;
therefore I will wait for him.”
31 For no one is cast off
by the Lord forever.
32 Though he brings grief, he will show compassion,
so great is his unfailing love.
33 For he does not willingly bring affliction
or grief to anyone.
